Isabelle, Elliott & Charlotte:: Fall Session

This family is a friend of a friend and I had the pleasure to photograph.  It was a beautiful Monday morning.  The kids were energetic, smiley and best yet just enjoying all nature Menotomy Rock Park had to offer-rocks, trees, pine cones, hills, etc.  It's one of my favorites parks too!  After two hours, they were pretty pooped but, all that hard work was paid off to a treat in the end...gummy worms.

Miss Charlotte...

Her big brother, Elliott.

There mother, Isabelle.  Together what a gorgeous family!

Some of my favorites of Charlotte.  It was so hard to choose which ones to post.
Favorites of Elliott.

Together.
Solo shots with their mother.

The gummy worms come out before we wrap up!  They were completely in heaven with all that sugar!

Elliott saying goodbye with his muddy hands.

{Love} the smiling faces, as they were telling me jokes.  Thank you so much for asking me to capture these special moments.

MJ and family :: Waltham, MA

I met MJ's grandparents through a friend my husband and I met at the Lao Temple, just 5 days before I went into labor and delivery.  We go to the Lao Temple in Lowell annually for the past two years in April for the New Year Celebrations.  Of course at that time I was craving lots of sweets.  One of my favorites sweets that my mother always make for the temple are Sweet Sticky Coconut Rice Steamed in Banana Leaf.  Thinking about it already makes me crave it!  I have tried to make it but, it never turns out as good.

In July, their son PJ (MJ's uncle) went into the military.  They wanted some family portraits taken, to give PJ as a gift when he missed his family.  I can only imagine how much I would miss my family if I went to work for a few years before returning home.

I love this quote by Michael J. Fox "Family is not an important thing, it's everything."

Meet MJ (Michael James).

{LOVE} mother and son.

Of course I need a few of Mj's grandparents.

Mount Auburn Cemetery

Yippee, fall is among us already.  I love the changing leaves, the crispy air and of course sweaters, scarfs and boots.  It has been a while since my husband and I took a stroll through  "America's first garden cemetery".  We did see some color in the leaves.  I would give it another few weeks until you see much more color and some bare trees.

If you have not visited this beautiful place, I highly recommend it, you will not be disappointed.  Make sure you get to the tower, amazing views.

Colin & Ella

Big sister Ella and little brother Colin are one sweet set of siblings.  Ella is head over heels protective of her little brother when it comes to playing nearby other children at the playground (anywhere in general)...how sweet, right?  Colin just turned 2 years old and their mother wanted to get photographs done to cherish this time when they are so young.

Apples, Apple Cider, Donuts...mmm

Saturday was a very early morning, Donovan decided to get up at 5am.  Neither my husband and I were ready to get up...just too early.  I'm sure mommies know that exact feeling.  As majority have experienced, this is the life of parenthood, it's never ending 24/7 (well until they're probably married), needless to say it does pay off to see their cute faces when they smile or simply having fun.  All in all they grow too fast, so we must enjoy every moment.

So, hooray it's apple-picking season and we're off to Shelburne Farms.  Here are shots from our day at the apple orchard farm.  Hope you had a great weekend!

Fiji, Macoun, McIntosh, Cortland, Empire...all types of apples to choose from...

Donovan's impression of a monkey while we wait for our lunch...

Pumpkins...

Look what Dan spotted...a cool looking caterpillar...Donovan was very interested and had fun touching the furry fellow.

Hanging at the pumpkin patch...

Tasty apples...

 Enjoying the farm life...

And it's that time to say good-bye... of course not without...

...one final stop to the Apple Shop for pie to take for the ride.

See you soon!

Sneak Peak :: MJ

Meet MJ and his mother, Tina.  I thought my 16 month old son was energetic enough. After meeting MJ, I soon realized I better have all the energy in the world to keep up with Donovan when he turns 3 years old.  After all, running around is a lot of fun and it make a good workout too (I suppose).
