P Family Session :: Prospect Hill, Somerville, MA

I can't believe it is June already!  We've had a slow start to the warm weather this season.  Although there have some warm days in April/May.  The beginning of June we had, I remember 4 sticky days, after the third day I am so uncomfortable. And this week, lots of rain (perfect for editing) and we had to put our heating at night, brrr.  Where is the summah weather?

I met with this beautiful family at Prospect Hill, late April, which was a beautiful late afternoon (shot at 4:30pm/5pm).  If you're looking to book a summer session, around 6pm will give you very nice lighting as their photographs.   I always love photo shooting in new locations, which has some pretty amazing views of Boston.    If you haven't been there, worth the trip and maybe a nice picnic too.  I had a great time photographing the 'P' Family!  Little Miss A is just OOOOO ADORABLE!

She's too adorable! Love her outfit!

Four Generations of Love

Katie contacted me early fall to book a session unfortunately with busy work schedules we were not able to a session.  However she did mentioned that over the holidays they were having four generations of family together and wanted to treasure this moment (which would be a gift to her mother in-law, how sweet huh?), including her brother who lives overseas and had not been home in 3 years.

As soon as I walked in the door, everyone was so welcoming, it reminded me of my mom's family; large, sweet and so close.  My grandmother had 12 children, crazy to think that many kids but times are different.  It was so nice that this family was willing to go outside to take some 'snow' photographs and I must say they turned out pretty.

Thank you for inviting me to your family's beautiful home and asking me to capture this special time for you Katie!

How gorgeous is her mother in-law's house?

Their beautiful decorated Christmas tree...this has gotta be my most favorite time of the year (maybe except the long winter months)

Love this family!

These next two have to be one of my favorite photographs of grandma and great nana...soo sweet

Special bond with Grandma and Grandpa...

Now we head outside...

I love Baby N's face...he's too cute!

Check out the vintage wooden sled...

I just love this photo of Katie, her husband her her son!!!  The lighting was just magical at 3pm or so.

Grandma and Baby N....awwwwwwwwwwww...

Four Generations: Baby N, his dad, his grandpa and his great grandpa.  Everyone tried to make Baby N to laugh and smile, I think he's was pretty tired at this point (past nap time).

Of course, the ladies.

D Family & adorable 3 month old Baby B

I met this new family just shortly after Christmas.  Congratulations on your new family, so much fun right?  I must say I haven't meet a family for a while that was so addictively funny as much as they were.  I love seeing families that laugh, after all its good for the heart especially for their adorable son.  Baby B, I can tell has every bits and piece of his mother and fathers personality; super smiley, happy and at time serious.  He definitely made his mother work a little hard for the camera...sure worth it.

Baby B eye contact with his mother...awwww

His smile and laugh makes my heart melt!

This is a cute one too.

Baby B's dad being silly, love it!

Juice + MLK with dad

We enjoyed a relaxing, cold winter morning.  It is nice when my husband has public holidays off, it gives us time to spend as a family.  It also allows me to capture moments between father and son.

I am not a fan of giving too much juice to my son Donovan.  As a toddler right around his age, , my mother told me all I drank was apple juice.  I drank so much of it, my two front teeth looked like they were rotting, yucky right?  I knew I didn't want that for my son.  Occasionally we do give him juice.  I buy a 6 pack once a month,  although when we do have the occasional soda pop around the house, it's hard to resist giving him a sip when it is in his face and jumping up and down for sugar.

I cannot believe he is almost 21 months.  Time has flown when I think about finding out I was pregnant, the day he was born, first steps...now he shows all sorts of emotions (giving hugs, kisses), saying so many words in two languages, running and so interested in everything, it's such a big world for this little man.  I love you more and more each day Donovan.

For those we had MLK off, hope you had a lovely day.

Reduce sugar apple juice.

I {LOVE}serious look...
